| Ameol Registry Backup Utilities |
|
Ameol is a dedicated off-line reader for CIX, full details of which can be found at www.ameol.com. If you don't know what CIX or Ameol is, then these utilities really won't be of any use to you.
These utilities will backup all your Ameol Registry settings to a RegEdit.exe compatible files
Program 2 - Automatic backup of Ameol registry entries
The program simply backups the Ameol2 related registry entries to three regedit compatible files, which will be saved in the current directory. Again to restore the entries simple double click each file in turn from the Windows explorer.
It was written to be run before backing up the Ameol directory structure (I use SecondCopy 7 from www.centered.com), and so it prompts you to close Ameol2 if it's already running. |

Here's just the exe zipped
and here's just the exe file un-zipped.

I've successfully transferred a working Ameol install to another machine by simply:
- Running my app and backing up the registry settings to files
- Zipping the entire Ameol directory structure C:\Program Files\Ameol2\ and unzipping on the new machine in the same place
- On the new machine double click on the Ameol registry backup files you created earlier
- Then run the Ameol program (no doubt you will want to create a shortcut to "C:\Program Files\Ameol2\ameol232.exe").
